Season: Winter
Members of Household: Janet Hale, Jean Hale
In this post: Janet Hale, Jean Hale, Emily Saunders, Elizabeth Saunders, Stephanie Saunders, Tiffany Keyes
Now that Mildred had moved back to Oasis Vally with her growing family, Janet and Jean were seeing a lot more of them especially Emily. Emily stopped by almost eveyday during her afternoon walk.
Janet doesn’t mind. Watching Emily wobble was amusing and she enjoyed the company. Lately, when she was alone she began to feel empty inside. Like something was missing. Being around family seemed to fill that empty space.
“How does it feel to have them moving around inside you?” another recent occurrence was a sudden fascination with motherhood.
“It feels like my body has been taken over by aliens.” Emily answers, watching as Janet waves and talks to her belly.
Jean was not feeling any of Janet’s emptiness. She was enjoying being young and single. All she wanted to do was live life and have fun. She was smart enough to realize the importance of money in her plans, so she decided to get a second job as a restaurant guide writer.
Her interview was held at a eatery in Eaton. The interviewer didn’t seem to be interested in her qualifications. In fact, the only thing he said was “Our last guide writer got sent to jail. Your clean, young and pretty. You’re hired. What do you want to eat?”
She didn’t complain, she actually wondered if she should write Dennis Hernandez a ‘thank you for getting arrested so I could have your job’ letter.
While Jean was engrossed in her new second job, Janet decided to play devoted aunt. She would invite her nieces over and watch them play.
She even brought toys to keep them entertained. Tiffany loved to play with the pink stuffed bunny.
Elizabeth and Stephanie more or less kept themselves entertained by making as much noise as possible.
Janet loved watching the kids. Seeing them interact with each other reminded her of when she was a kid. Before her father died and her mother was forced to raise them by herself. Her nieces were the sweetest little things ever.

“Baby sitting again, this weekend?” Jean questioned. She wanted to know if she should plan to be out of the house. She loved her nieces, really she did but the thought of spending the weekend with a group of hyperactive little girls made her shudder.
“No, me and Brent are going to celebrate this weekend.” Janet couldn’t help but giggle like a school girl.
“Celebrate? Celebrate, what?” Jean loved nothing more than a good celebration.
“We’re getting married” Janet blurted out nearly shouting. She smiled at the shocked look on her sister’s face.
Jean tried to match Janet’s level of happiness when she grabbed Janet into a tight hug and congratulated her. Inside she was feeling a little sad and worried. She made sure her sister didn’t get an inkling of her feelings.
When she was by herself she started to wonder how Janet’s pending marriage would affect her. This was Janet’s house she was living in and she had a feeling that Brent would move in with them. Would th house be cramped with three adults around? Would she end up a third wheel? ALl these thoughts played in her mind and made it impossible for her to relax.

- During the whole time I played this house Janet kept wanting to interact with family and call family members. I took that as her nesting instincts kicking in. She also rolled a want to marry Brent.
- There is just a few things that didn’t get into this update that are important for future updates. Lets call them behind the scenes stories. Brent and Janet got married and he moved in. I really didn’t want to plan a wedding. The Crabtree family was enough for a while. I promised myself that starting Round 9, I would do more really weddings.
- Jean has moved out and in with Dominique, Anton and Tiffany. Their house is bigger. Janet’s house is not meant to handle three adult sims.
- Below are close up pictures of Stephanie and Elizabeth. They didn’t turn out that well but I noticed that none of the pictures were really good at showing their features. I can’t remember which is which for sure but I think the top photo is Stephanie and the bottom photo is Elizabeth.

Wow, this family has grown so fast. Congrats on the marriage as well, I know that she must be excited and rolling all sorts of baby wants by now.

The first thing Janet and Brent did when I moved them in together was hop in bed. I have a theory that the Hale family is eventually going to populate the whole town.
I think Elizabeth and Stephanie will actually turn out quite stunning. The eye ridges the one in the first pic has will very likely smooth out by the time she’s a teen (I’ve had those in my hood too!) and the girl in the second pic will grow into her mouth – it’s just a little large for her face right now.
That was mainly what I was worried about. The eye ridges and the mouth. The mouth comes from Mildred Hale and I work very hard to make sure that she has hairstyles that compliment her face. I think that out of all my Hale children Mildred is the worse looking.
I am going to cross my fingers and hope for the best
I’m sure the girls will turn out fine! Congrats on the wedding! I laughed so hard about the “Thank you for going to jail” letter 😀
